ARTIST STATEMENT
My eye never sleeps...
I paint the abstract language of colors, forms, and shapes that my eye visualizes, using bold colors to provoke a feeling or sensation that engages the viewer in an emotional exchange with the work.

Bill Santelli's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States, including the DOSHI Gallery of the Susquehanna Art Museum in Harrisburg, PA; the Rochester Museum and Science Center, Strasenburgh Planetarium and Oxford Gallery in Rochester, NY; the Salmagundi Club Galleries and the Organization of Independent Artists in NYC; the Shelnutt Gallery at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY; Leon Loard Gallery, Montgomery, AL; Westwood Center for the Arts in Los Angeles, CA; and Jordan Road Gallery, in Sedona, AZ.

In addition, his work is in corporate and private collections, including those of XLI Corporation, Rochester, NY; MedImmune, Inc., Gaithersburg, MD; Information Technology Association of America, Arlington, VA; Maxtor Corporation, Longmont, CO; Hale and Dorr, Boston, MA; the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY; Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Rochester, NY; Advest Inc., Hartford, CT; and Tecton, PC, Architects, Hartford, CT.

Mr. Santelli is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including two residency grants to the Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, VT.

"Reproductions of any kind do little justice to Bill Santelli's beautiful and complex paintings... Beautifully executed, Santelli's paintings explore extreme contrasts in color, shape and edge... His titles support the view that these are inner meditations"
